Jody Banim

Jody Banim — Founder and Head of Football

Jody is the founder of Stretton JFC and leads the club’s football operations, bringing extensive experience from both the professional and semi-professional game.

After beginning his football journey within Manchester United’s youth system, Jody went on to represent clubs including Shrewsbury Town, Burton Albion, Torquay United and Droylsden. He later moved into coaching and management, helping Ashton United win promotion from the Northern Premier League in 2018.

Jody is responsible for Stretton JFC’s coaching philosophy, player-development pathway and training curriculum. He works closely with the club’s professional and parent coaches to ensure every team follows the same clear approach to developing confident, intelligent players who enjoy their football.

Our brilliant parent coaches play a hugely important role at Stretton JFC, giving their time and energy to lead our teams during weekend matches.

Every parent coach works under the full guidance of Jody Banim, our Head of Football, and follows the club’s coaching philosophy, playing principles and player-development pathway.

They receive ongoing support from our professional coaching team, helping to create a consistent experience between midweek training and matchdays.

Their enthusiasm, commitment and encouragement help ensure every player enjoys their football, develops in a positive environment and feels proud to represent Stretton JFC.

Our Professional Coaching Team

Our professional coaching team delivers all weekly training sessions across Stretton JFC and provides support to players and teams on matchdays.

Every coach is qualified, experienced and works within the club’s structured coaching curriculum, led by Jody Banim, our Head of Football. This ensures every player receives consistent, high-quality coaching throughout their development journey.

Our coaches work closely with our brilliant parent coaches, providing session plans, matchday guidance and ongoing support to create a clear link between weekly training and weekend fixtures.

Their focus is not only on developing better footballers, but also on building confidence, teamwork and a genuine enjoyment of the game.
